Recyclable/Reusable Packaging

When it comes to finding the most Earth conscious packaging materials, there is no perfect, one-size-fits-all solution. And we certainly aren't perfect! We have spent hours reading and learning about how materials are made, where they come from, and where they will end up,  We have done our best to choose what is right for our company, our products, and the environment. We will continue to learn and improve our packaging as we grow as a company. This is how we're doing right now:

Product Packaging

  • Glass bottles and jars: Fully reusable and recyclable
  • Plastic Lids: Reusable, not recyclable
  • Metal tins: Fully reusable and recyclable
  • Labels: Not compostable, recyclable or made from post-consumer waste

Shipping Materials

  • Shipping boxes: 100% post-consumer and post-industrial content, fully recyclable, biodegradable, and reusable(!) made in the US
  • Padded mailers: 100% recycled and recyclable
  • Tissue paper: compostable, not recyclable
  • All promotional/informational paper inserts: made from post-consumer waste, recyclable
  • Packing Tape: not recyclable or compostable
  • Paper Bags(local deliver): Recycled and recyclable

Don't worry, we're not stopping there

As we grow and more options become available we will be switching out our tapes, tissue paper, etc. There are more and more amazing, sustainable solutions popping up nowadays and we can not wait to work with them! Buuuut we have to get through the materials that we currently have and some of the more eco-conscious packaging materials can be pretty expensive. We will always strive to do what's best for the Earth and everyone living on it and always be totally upfront about it!
